Asians for the LGBTQIA Movement
Today we're highlighting Kiyoshi Kuromiya! His activism ran the gamut – from queer rights, to protesting against the use of napalm in the Vietnam War, to advocating for the legalization of marijuana.
Kiyoshi served as a gay delegate to the Black Panthers movement and marched across the bridge in Selma with Martin Luther King, Jr.. He also helped start ACT UP – an AIDS activist group – and founded PWA or People With Aids. Kiyoshi remains an inspiration to freedom fighters everywhere. 💐
